Aachen Rail Shuttle presented at InnoTrans - what’s next?
After 40 months of development and production, the FlexSbusLR consortium was able to present the Aachen Rail Shuttle (ARS) to the public at InnoTrans 2024. The vehicle concept was developed at the Institute for Rail Vehicles and Transport Systems (ifs) at RWTH Aachen University. The ARS is a third-generation rail bus that differs from its predecessors in that it is battery-powered. In addition to realising driverless, largely autonomous operation with the ARS, we will be offering our prototype for component tests to science and industry for experimental purposes in the future....
