Modular concept of diagnostic and monitoring technologies
Safety, availability and efficiency are natural demands of railway organisations. Increased future requirements can only be met if innovative technologies accompanied by an efficient organisational implementation of IT are applied [1]. Within this context, the use of diagnostic and monitoring technologies will be of decisive importance. Although there is a well-established awareness regardingsafety and availability [2], efficient management of rolling stock and infrastructure is still in its early development phase.
