The development and integration of continuous localisation systems
This article discusses how the introduction of new localisation systems for continuous train localisation can be achieved in the near future. Within this context, it presents the experiences and findings from the first part of the “Safe Train Localisation” project, a research project at TU Darmstadt in cooperation with DB Netz AG. The key to the prompt introduction of new localisation systems can be found in a new way of handling positioning data in the safety logic.
