Bulgaria may support ETCS vehicle equipment
Bulgaria may support railway undertakings (RUs) in equipping their vehicles with ETCS equipment. This has now been approved by the EU Commission. The programme is worth BGN 63 million (EUR 32 million), with the RUs bearing costs of the same amount. The aid for equipping vehicles with ETCS Level 2 will be paid out as direct grants to the companies. The funds are part of the Bulgarian implementation plan of the Corona Reconstruction Fund RRF.
