Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) in operations control and signalling technology
We learn of new attacks on public and private computer systems every day. What amounted to exceptional individual cases years ago has developed into a complicated scenario, whose players range from technical experts acting on their own through to highly educated specialists. Attacks on infrastructure also have to be taken into account. The EU responded with the “Directive on the security of network and information systems” (NIS) in June 2016 in order to protect critical infrastructure. The EU member states were required to implement this directive in their national legislation and administrative regulations by May 2018 at the latest....
