The expansion of the European Train Control System (ETCS) in Germany is progressing slowly. As of April 2024, only ten Radio Block Centers cover operations for less than 1000 kilometers of track in Germany. Yesterday, we discussed the financing of the ETCS trackside rollout. And today, the focus is on rollout of ETCS Onboard units. Tomorrow, the different rollout speeds of track and vehicle will present further challenges.
