ICE 3 get ETCS equipment
Alstom has been commissioned by Deutsche Bahn AG to equip 17 international ICE 3s of the 407 series with the Atlas ETCS On Board System; the order is worth more than EUR 30 million. In the medium term, this will make it possible to commission the multiple units to be equipped on the new German ETCS Level 2 high speed line Stuttgart – Ulm line. Furthermore, the vehicles will gain access to the Belgian network and, for the first time, the French high speed line Paris – Strasbourg will be fully equipped with ETCS....
