ATLAS - Advanced Train Location and Administration System
Bombardier Transportation develops for the Belgian railway SNCB/NMBS a modern system for localisation and administration of trains and traction vehicles. A fleet of about 450 locomotives will be equipped with a GPS/GSM localisation and communication system. Further, a central system for information processing will be realised in Brussels. Thus, on standard PC workstations, users can perform rostering, generate statistics and exchange information with train drivers.
