The cross-manufacturer remote testing of signalling system interfaces
The introduction of ETCS has laid the foundations for the interoperability of onboard and wayside equipment for train control. However, infrastructure managers must work with their suppliers to implement nationally specific technical interfaces for ETCS wayside components to the existing interlockings as well as the operations control systems.
