Fibre Optic Sensing for railways – Ready to use?!
Fibre Optic Sensing (FOS) supports data-driven services by means of continuous information generation along an extensive infrastructure like no other sensor. The projects that have already been realised underline the maturity of the product in a wide range of application areas. The time is ripe for a planned, long-term system integration in order to enable the effects to be used for capacity increases and efficiency gains in rail operations.
