Digitalisation needs new rules
Digitalisation has impacted the railway world. People are speaking and writing about it everywhere; this includes digital interlockings (DSTW), ETCS as a train control system, the role played by cybersecurity, building data modelling (BIM) as a solution to many problems and finally the requirement for “greater efforts leading towards a consistent, digital and “networked planning methodology”, as my colleague Schnieder recently wrote here.
