Slovenia: Second track with ETCS Level1 between Koper and Divača
The existing 50 km long line between Koper and Divača in Slovenia connects the port of Koper in the west with Hungary in the east as part of the railway corridor D (TEN Corridor D). The port of Koper is an important hub, especially for the automotive industry heading to Hungary, and the double-track extension of the previously single-track line is therefore intended to increase the capacity of the line and significantly increase the proportion of freight transport by rail.
