Recently, I came across a paper which I had written for the 4/1999 edition of this journal. The subject was “Challenges to Transportation Safety Technology – a theoretical view”. Among other things, I wrote that “ the performance of a classic interlocking can be reduced to the contemplation of a point ”. In addition, I wrote about the dissolution of big interlockings into “element interlockings” which would be practical and favourable to the national economy.
