Semi-automation of the determination of ideal block layouts as part of the CCS planning chain
The development and optimisation of block layouts is a decisive step for the provision of the necessary infrastructure capacity by a system that has been as streamlined as possible. The definition of a desirable “start-up solution” from the point of view of railway operations, as well as the subsequent iteration between railway operating demands and the planning steps, currently still has room for increased efficiency.
