Increased safety and availability through the advancement of digital train control systems

Computer-aided train control systems (TCS) were developed in the 2000s in response to increasing demands for efficiency and safety in rail transport. Initially, they only supported the dispatcher, but they subsequently quickly developed into central control units. Digitalisation meant that TCS became more powerful, networked and intelligent. Today, these systems form the backbone of modern operation management and enable precise, automated train control in real-time operations.
