Safety qualification tests and ETCS approval on the Wuppertal “Schwebebahn”
56 years after the “New Signalling on the Wuppertal Schwebebahn” article appeared in Signal+Draht [2] and 118 years after the deployment of the first German automatic block installation on the Schwebebahn, the third signalling upgrade has taken place, this time at ETCS Level 2+ with positive train detection.
