The Berlin Underground: PSI is to supply a train position system for BVG

Berlin Transport Operations (Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe; BVG) have commissioned the PSI subsidiary, PSI Transcom, to implement the PSItraffic operations control system in its underground railway operations. The system will control and monitor the largest contiguous local transport network of this type in Germany consisting of nine lines from a central operations control point. In addition, PSI will supply one component to manage around 1,200 vehicles. In addition to the supply of the system, the order also contains numerous interfaces to the existing BVG system, such as remote interlocking control, vehicle identification, digital radio, journey planning and passenger information....
