BZ 2000 – Commissioning of train dispatching in the Operations Control Centre in Berlin
On 17th November 2004, “Train Dispatching” was commissioned at the Berlin Operations Control Centre as one of the development stages for the operations control centre system. To ensure a smooth transition from the Basic Stage to Train Dispatching, the Basic Stage system was run parallel to the new system over a period of several weeks. This provided a fallback level for the duration of the commissioning in case any serious problems should arise. As the next step, “Direct Control” will be installed as an additional major operational function.
