Roma?–?Napoli: Commercial operation of ERTMS/ETCS at 300 km/h
On the 19th December 2005, the High Speed Roma?–?Napoli line was opened to the business service for passengers using ETR 500 trains in full ETCS operation. This article describes the technical and functional characteristics, the system architecture, and mainly the safety management process.
