A successful WTMS conference
After a successful prelude in the previous year, around 80 domestic and international participants attended the second year of the European Wayside Train Monitoring Systems Conference in Berlin. The event took place at the Hotel Ellington on 17th April 2018, while interesting branch discussions were held at an informal get-together after the opening address on the previous evening. The first address at the conference led (partly by video conference) to the end of the world: Shane Doyle reported on the Wayside Pantograph Condition Monitoring undertaken by the operator Sydney Trains from Sydney, Australia....
