Automatic transfer of train-tracking information in cross-border railway traffic
The system coupler, a process-control component, is used to exchange information about train positions and deviations from the timetable between DB Netz and neighbouring European countries automatically via the national train-number supervision system. To do that, the system coupler communicates through the common interface (CI) defined in the TAF and TAP TSIs. The system coupler shall be used for the first time in a pilot project for cross-border traffic between Aachen and Verviers.
