No money for ETCS-On Board Units
No money will flow to Germany from the European Corona economic stimulus package (Build-up and Resilience Facility, ARF). EU funding for equipping traction units with ETCS on-board units will flow to Germany. The Federal Cabinet adopted the German Reconstruction and Resilience Plan (DARP) on 27 April 2021 without additional projects in the mobility sector. Based on the DARP, the EU will provide funding from the European ARF. The Bundesrat, the German Transport Forum (DVF) and the freight rail association NEE had demanded that the DARP be used to raise EUR 4 billion in EU funds for a faster transition to ETCS....
