RBC simulation for real ETCS test runs
Bottlenecks often arise when planning and conducting ETCS Level 2 (L2) tests because of the current limited availability of tracks for test runs in the L2 mode. This article shows how this difficulty can be overcome. A simulation of an RBC (radio block center) originally intended for the laboratory is integrated into a vehicle so that L2 test runs can also be conducted on tracks which have not been equipped with ETCS.
