Stadler has entered the signal business
Stadler has decided to become more intensely involved in the train control market. The manufacturer has set out three areas of focus: ETCS for main lines, CBTC for metro systems and ATO for main and secondary lines. In this way, Stadler intends to penetrate what it sees as the existing market power of Siemens and Alstom which according to the Swiss have had an 88% market share for onboard ETCS appliances since 2011.
