AI (Artificial Intellicence)-based applications are becoming increasingly ubiquitous in everyday life and we sometimes even do not know that AI is active in the background. AI-based components are also finding their way into the world of the railroad. The use of AI in safety-relevant areas is foreseeable, but at the same time the functional safety of these AI components must also be suitably demonstrated. No recognised procedures and processes for this currently exist. The KI-LOK joint research project deals with test procedures and the verification of AI-based components....
