From 26 to 30 September, new control software was installed in the electronic interlocking during a closure of the Leipzig railway junction and the railway technology newly installed last year, including its control and safety systems, was tested, approved and prepared for commissioning for the timetable change in December. These include the new S-Bahn stop at Essener Straße and a train treatment system at the ICE plant. Technical systems include turnout drives, axle counters and signals.
