First smart interlocking in local traffic in Cologne
Kölner Verkehrs-Betriebe AG (KVB) and Siemens Mobility GmbH have started the pilot project “Smart Data Services” in interlocking technology. The pilot project is the first in urban transport. The aim is to test service components for monitoring, displaying and analyzing interlocking data. The evaluation of turnout turnaround times and the resulting data telegrams will be used to determine maintenance requirements.
