The ETCS Level 2 deployment in Israel

Considerable increases in demand have meant that the Ayalon corridor in Tel Aviv is now the most serious bottleneck in the Israeli network. In order to support the rapid development of the network, Israel Railways Ltd. have adopted a three-phased approach to overcoming the resulting restrictions. The capacity was raised from ten to 14 trains per hour and direction in the first step.
