Rail meets Automotive: commonalities in vehicle-side IT/OT security considerations
A joint IT/OT security assessment of rail and road vehicles can offer synergies leading to overall safer mobility. To this end, we present a generic vehicle model that describes the domain commonalities and examines the established IT/OT risk assessment procedures that have to underlie any common security concept and have led to the current state of the art in both security measures and vehicle architecture in each of the domains.
