Warnemünde gets digital interlocking
In Warnemünde, Germany’s second digital interlocking is built. The first has been in operation since the beginning of the year at the Erzgebirgsbahn in Annaberg-Buchholz, Saxony. From 2020, the digital interlocking will replace two conventional signal boxes and control all trains between Rostock-Bramow and Warnemünde. A total of 22 points, 66 signals and an interlocking in Warnemünde Werft will be prepared for digital control in two construction stages. as
