Autonomous driving – control as the basis for the virtual driver model?
The precise braking of a rail vehicle is of great functional and safety-relevant importance in rail transport when approaching a coupling-ready position or stopping in front of signs, signals or obstacles. Current considerations of the automation of rail vehicle driving functions often focus on environmental monitoring.
