ETCS Level 2 Radio Block Centre Human-Machine-Interface
This article describes the Human-Machine Interface
(HMI) of European Train Control System Level 2 Radio
Block Centre (ETCS L2 RBC) which has been developed
and produced by the AŽD company and is currently in use to
control almost 1,000 kilometres of railway line in the Czech
Republic. It provides an overview of the commands and indications
related to the ETCS L2 operation and briefly mentions
the overall architecture (functional and safety) of this
solution which combines the HMI of both the ETCS L2
trackside and the Centralised Traffic Control (CTC) system.
