Artificial Intelligence for the traffic management system of the future
An intelligent traffic management system in the digitalised railway system of the future must be capable of responding automatically to any disturbances in operations. The approach presented here combines methods from Operations Research (OR) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to resolve the underlying mathematical optimisation problem with the appropriate response time and solution quality.
