ETCS programme revised again
The Danish railway infrastructure manager Banedanmark has announced a revised timetable for the ETCS rollout in Eastern Denmark following further delays in the national signalling programme. According to the original schedule approved in 2009, the installation of the trackside and on-board equipment was to be completed by 2021. However, the project was already behind schedule in 2016. At the same time, a number of other major infrastructure projects have been added to the schedule, particularly in eastern Denmark, including the Fehmarnbelt tunnel, the new route via West Fyn and the capacity expansion in Ringsted....
