FRMCS Migration – A technical update
Funkwerk presented various concepts to enable technical updates to be realised on existing systems in order to fully support Future Railway Mobile Communication System (FRMCS), as well as a number of concepts for the initial equipping of vehicles, in an article on migration [1] in 2023. However, the standards and current technical implementations have evolved in the interim. This article is intended to provide information about the current changes.
