Digital maintenance in signalling and control technology
Despite successful modernisation initiatives, the signalling and control technology of the railway infrastructure in Germany is still heavily influenced by traditional interlocking construction forms. Relay interlockings are still numerous and will account for approximately half of DB InfraGO’s interlockings for the foreseeable future. Due to this alone, these systems make a significant contribution to the number of disruptions.
