Efficient mass transit systems are one of the most important keys to maximum mobility in megacities and large urban areas worldwide. They also promote urban and regional economic development. Now widely recognized as a mature automatic train control system, communications-based train control (CBTC) is the technology requested by mass transit authorities together with the capability to implement driverless systems for more efficiency and flexibility.
