FRMCS/5G – How migration can succeed efficiently
The railways need to migrate to the new 5G radio standard as 2G has been discontinued. With the introduction of new network technology, there is an opportunity to use comprehensive additional services and to rethink the operational concept according to the current state of the art. Migration must be considered for the rapid utilisation of the effects. The approaches of other industries and experiences show that hybrid operating concepts enable efficient and fast utilisation.
