All systems go! The rapid progress of the Digital Freight Train
Europe’s Rail Joint Undertaking (EU-Rail) [1] is a wide-ranging EU technology project that aims to shift transportation services from road to rail. The Digital Freight Train (DFT) is one of the focal points of this project, which is jointly funded by the EU [2 ] and the rail sector. Development of the DFT is making rapid progress – as is development of the DFT’s key enabler, the Digital Automatic Coupler (DAC).
