Thales DCA: Building blocks for optimized field element control solutions
Through the introduction of the Distributed Control Architecture (DCA) Thales offers its customers a building block based system for field element control with a maximum of flexibility. DCA fulfills market and project requirements while optimizing the cost effectiveness of the solution. This paper describes the architecture and the fundamental principles of DCA and explains the building blocks in detail. It further describes the implementation by means of three examples of currently ongoing representative projects.
