Nokia to equip expanded WESTbahn fleet
Austrian rail operator WESTbahn has contracted Nokia to implement a secure, high performance, broadband train-to-ground communications solution for its new expanded intercity train fleet. Following the recent commissioning of 15 Stadler trains for WESTbahn's Vienna - Salzburg line, Nokia will supply, deploy and maintain WiFi access points, intelligent multipath switching and control systems at WESTbahn's Operations Control Centre (OCC).
