An analysis of the Danish ETCS regulations – a chance for a generic rulebook for ETCS operations
DB Netz is planning to equip its route network with modern safety technology in the form of digital interlockings (DSTW) and ETCS Level 2 without signals (L2oS) as part of “Digitale Schiene Deutschland” (Digital Rail Germany, DSD). Large, interconnected infrastructure areas will be completely migrated for the first time. Thus, there is also a need to develop a modern complexity-reduced operations rulebook (OR) that is limited to DSTW and L2oS [1].
