Mer Mec wants to take over Hitachi’s mainline signalling business
The Italian company Mer Mec S.p.A., a subsidiary of Angel Holding, intends to acquire the business units to be sold in Hitachi’s signalling division. Both companies have signed a corresponding put option. Specifically, this relates to the technology and the sites in France, Germany and the UK, which Hitachi must sell as part of the GTS takeover (formerly Thales) on the basis of a decision by the British competition authority CMA for reasons of possible distortion of competition. jsh
