First funicular in public local transport in Luxembourg
Since December 10, 2017, the new Pfaffenthal-Kirchberg stop with its two funiculars has been serving local public transportation in Luxembourg. This large project, which was completed in only two and a half years, delivers a large number of innovations and advantages for rail passengers. The new stop is part of the sustainable mobility strategy of the Luxembourg government’s overall concept for creating nine transport and development nodes in the outskirts of the city.
