BUES 2000 with a SCI-LX interface

For many decades, the railway has relied on Hp interfaces (Hp means, protected by route signals sent from an interlocking) and Fü interfaces (Fü means, fully automated without a connection to the train) as the only standardised manufacturer-independent interfaces for level crossings and any combinations thereof. This led to demand for a new, modern interface. This interface between level crossing systems (BÜSA) and electronic interlocking systems (ESTW) was meant to be compatible with all level crossing and interlocking manufacturers....
