Intelligent sensor technology for efficient track vacancy detection
Inductive wheel sensors and axle counters are considered to be state of the art in reliable train and track vacancy detection. Concepts such as the Internet of Things are also becoming part of the railway industry as digitisation increases. Combining this potential with the characteristics of tried-and-tested systems was the objective when Frauscher began developing its new axle counter and wheel detection system.
