The Horka (GER)–Węgliniec (PL) Class B Transition
DB Engineering & Consulting GmbH planned a Class B transition for the DB Netz AG cross-border route between Horka and Węgliniec in the summer of 2018. The successful technical testing of the transition took place in September 2018. The system has been in operation on the cross-border route since May 2019. This article describes what a Class B transition is and how it functions using the Horka border crossing point as an example.
