Availability of the World’s first ERTMS/ETCS Level 2-Line
Since several months the world’s first ERTMS/ETCS Level 2 system is in commercial operation on the Swiss pilot line Olten—Lucerne between the stations Zofingen and Sempach. The pilot line achieves practically the same punctuality as the previous conventional signalling system. Additionally, during the 14 test months the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) didn’t register any safety relevant incident.
