August 2014 | Andreas Linhardt, Daniel Hamann, Malte Zimmerling

Since the late 1980s, LED matrix devices have been introduced and are now about to prevail in all railway signalling sectors. LED have rapidly become more efficient and reliable and can now be used even in safety-critical fields, allowing for their ever more widespread use. Among the products of the latest generation are the MAXLS70 (70 mm diameter) and MAXLS136 (136 mm diameter) LED signalling devices for round coloured signal aspects.
