The new Pintsch digitally-networked LOP
As control and safety technology moves steadily towards “Digital Rail” with the introduction of the new digital LOP system (Locally Operated Points), Pintsch GmbH has successfully completed the first modernisation phase for this technology, which constitutes one of the company’s most important areas of activities (fig. 1). The new digital LOP system (DLOP) will be even more tightly networked and more diagnosable in the future. Now, a control system for medium to large digital LOP systems is being developed in the second phase in order to provide customers at home and abroad with a digital alternative to traditional, route control computer LOP technology as quickly as possible....
